Meet The Team
Karin Gerber
Educational Psychologist
Karin offers psychotherapy to school-going children (Gr 1 and older), teenagers, students, and young adults. She is dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being by helping clients and families to overcome their emotional difficulties and improve their quality of life. At the heart of Karin's psychotherapeutic stance is the person-centred approach, which means that she believes in creating a warm, non-judgemental space where clients feel truly heard, valued, and accepted. Karin's goal is to provide a therapeutic space where clients feel safe to be themselves, gain a deeper self-awareness, and move towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
Lelani Cloete
Educational Psychologist
Lelani is an educational psychologist with a passion for supporting children, adolescents and students/young adults. She has extensive experience in the academic context, previously working in a prominent high school in Stellenbosch and consulting with Stellenbosch University with readmissions. Lelani's holistic approach is tailored to embrace each facet of an individual – emotional health, cognitive function and educational challenges – ensuring a focus on the full spectrum of one's well-being. Recognizing the distinctiveness of each person's journey and traits, Lelani's objective is to formulate customised strategies that ignite transformation.
Claire Haggard
Clinical Psychologist
With over 16 years in practice, Claire offers psychotherapy to older teenagers (16 years and older), students, adults and couples. She is dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being by helping clients to overcome their emotional difficulties and improve their quality of life. Claire works with a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, as well as struggles coping adaptively within a number of life contexts (e.g. relationships, personality functioning, occupational struggles and emotional or spiritual/existential difficulties). She works from a predominantly psychodynamic frame, allowing for both insight and change.
Anina Amorim
Clinical Psychologist
Anina offers individual psychotherapy for adults over 18. Her work is psychoanalytically informed. This means that she sees the content and the form of a person´s problems as meaningful. She also considers how unconscious factors may influence a person´s behaviour and impact on their emotional life. Anina's aim is to meet each person where they are. Together they work on reaching an understanding of what unfolds in the therapeutic process. In a working relationship, of which the foundation is trust, we collaboratively consider pathways, and ultimately move towards the relief of distress and greater insight.
